EMG/NCV

Dr. Tzorfas has extensive experience in EMG/NCV testing and neuromuscular diseases.   Electromyography and Nerve Conduction Studies are performed right in the office by Dr. Tzorfas.  This test is very important to rule out nerve or muscle diseases such as carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar nerve entrapment, and various diseases associated with nerve and muscle damage such as diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage) and myopathy (muscle damage).

EEG

EEG studies are performed locally at Betty Bacharach Rehab Hospital Neurophysiology Lab.  Ambulatory and long-term EEG monitoring can be arranged.  This test is very important to rule out abnormal brain activity that is seen in diseases such as epilepsy and dementia.
